Terms & Conditions
Hostel Admission Portal, University of Delhi. Last updated: 01 Jan 2026.
These Terms govern your use of the Hostel Admission Portal (the "Portal") operated for the hostels and halls of residence of the University of Delhi. By registering for or using the Portal you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Portal.
1. Eligibility & account
- The Portal is intended for bona fide students of the University of Delhi seeking hostel admission or readmission, and for authorised administrative staff.
- You must register with a valid email address and mobile number and verify your email before you can sign in. One application is permitted per registered student.
- Access uses a one-time code (OTP) sent to your registered email. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure. Do not share your OTP with anyone; portal staff will never ask for it.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.
2. Your responsibilities as an applicant
- All information and documents you provide must be true, accurate, complete and your own.
- You must upload only genuine documents in the accepted formats (JPG, PNG or PDF) and within the size limit stated on each field.
- Providing false information, forged documents, or suppressing material facts may result in rejection of your application or cancellation of any hostel admission granted, in addition to any action the University may take under its rules.
- You must read and accept the "Declaration by the Candidate" and follow the instructions shown on the application form.
- An incomplete application may not be considered.
3. Application, editing and cut-off
- You may save your application as a draft and edit it until you submit it, or until the administrator closes the application window (the cut-off date), whichever is earlier.
- Once you choose an application type (New Student or Readmission) and save, that choice is fixed for that cycle.
- Submission is completed only after the registration fee is paid successfully. An application number is issued on successful submission.
4. Fees & payment
- The registration fee is calculated and shown on the form before payment. Payment is processed through the ICICI Bank EazyPay payment gateway.
- Payment card, bank and related financial details are handled by the payment gateway and its banking partners. The Portal does not receive or store your card or bank account numbers.
- The registration fee is a processing fee and is generally non-refundable except where the University's rules provide otherwise. Payment of the fee does not by itself guarantee allotment of a hostel seat.
- If an amount is debited but your application is not marked paid, contact the query address below with your reference number before attempting to pay again.
5. Admission decisions
- Submitting an application creates no right to a hostel seat. Allotment is decided by the competent hostel/University authorities under their eligibility, merit, reservation and residence rules.
- Applicants must check the hostel notice board or website for interaction dates and admission lists. Individual notifications may not be sent.
- Any admission granted is valid for the current academic session only and is subject to the hostel rules and the University's ordinances, including anti-ragging regulations.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Portal, other accounts, or the server; upload malicious files or content; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the system; attempt to download or harvest documents or data belonging to other applicants; disrupt the service; or use the Portal for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access where such activity is detected, and may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
7. Intellectual property
The Portal, its design and its content (excluding documents you upload and third-party template forms) belong to the University of Delhi. Template forms linked or provided for download remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Availability & changes
- The Portal is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may carry out maintenance without notice.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the University and the Portal operators are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control (including failures of internet, email or the payment gateway). Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi have jurisdiction, subject to the University's own grievance and disciplinary mechanisms.
